Thanksgiving Feast
Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away on Monday, the 14th. If you are looking for something to do with your family or friends in the upcoming weeks, you have come to the right place. We have gathered three of the best October events near St. Johns, NL in 2019. Check them out below and make sure to stop in at Steele Honda next time you’re out.
When: October 14th at 2:00 PM
Where: Meet at 7 Conception Bay Highway by Manuels River
What: If you’re looking for something a little different to do on Thanksgiving, this is it. Dr. Rod Taylor will be guiding this hike, which goes along a trail to a protected fossil site. Come prepared to be on your feet for 90 minutes. You get some exercise and some new knowledge while enjoying the great outdoors.
When: October 12th and 20th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: Lester’s Farm Chalet at 92 Pearl Town Road
What: The Jack O’Lantern is a great way to celebrate with family and have fun with the kids. Admission includes a petting zoo, hayride, and face painting. Extra activities include a bouncy castle, scarecrow building contest, hot pepper eating contest, and more. This event is a great way to spend the holiday weekend with your family.
When: October 11th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Where: Lion’s Club at 102 Bonaventure Avenue
What: Friday evenings in October will be celebrated at Lion’s Club with mobile food vendors operating outside. Inside will be a cash bar featuring happy hour prices. Vendors and music will set the mood for this event, a great place to socialize with friends and give thanks to those you know.
