Keep reading below for tips and tricks on how to remove a car sticker from your vehicle before you sell it.

What products around my house can be used to remove stickers from car windows?

The main thing that we suggest is using a razor blade to chip away at car stickers. Razor blades with fine edges will be able to get underneath car stickers and scrape off the adhesive. Other products that people use to remove stickers from car windows include window cleaner and rubbing alcohol. You can also use an oil-based product on your car window to help remove the adhesive. Here is a list of at-home products that can help remove stickers from car windshields:

  • Razor blades
  • Window cleaners
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Mayonnaise
  • Peanut butter
  • Oil (Coconut, olive, or other forms)

Tips and tricks for removing car window stickers from your vehicle

It can be a bit of an experiment to find the product that works best on the adhesive of your car stickers. The best advice we have is to pair one of the liquids listed above with the razor blade method, just be sure not to scratch your windshield or apply too much pressure. First, remove as much of the sticker as possible with the blade and your fingers. Then, soak the sticker with one of the products we have listed above. Finally, use the blade to remove the rest of the sticker. We recommend soaking it for more than ten minutes, and you can also try different temperatures as well. Some people suggest using ice or hot water to remove stickers along with these other methods.
